☆This dormitory was renovated in 2009.
☆Japanese students live in this dormitory too.
4. International Residence for Medical Students
There is an international house, with 6 rooms, for medical students on Hasama Campus.
If students cannot be accommodated in the University's premises, they will live in privately-owned apartments. The monthly rent varies between $200.00 and $500.00. When you rent an apartment, you are obliged to pay "shikikin" ("key money"), which will not be refunded upon vacating the apartment. "Shikikin" usually costs about 100,000 yen. It is normally necessary to have a guarantor or guarantors on the lease. Furthermore, Japanese apartments in general are almost always completely unfurnished.
